Relationship between Brain Computed Tomographic Findings and Psychotic Features in Major Depression

The study was desiqned to assess the relationship between brain atrophy on computed tomography(CT) findings and psychotic features in major depression, and to determine whether major depression with psychotic features is a separate disease entity
or a
severe form of that one.
@ES The results were as follows ;
@EN 1) The number of previous hospitalization, post dexamethasone serum cortisol level, and the duration of previous hospitalization in psychotic patients were significantly longer than those in non-psychotics. There was no significant
relationship
between CT findings and post-dexamethasone serum cortisol level.
